USA – Sands Bethlehem angelägen om elektroniska bordsspelsstadioner

By - 11 april 2015

Sands Casino Bethlehem wants to bring a live dealer electronic table game stadium to its gaming floor.

The operator has made an informational presentation to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board but has yet to apply for what would be a first for a Pennsylvanian casino.

Featuring 150 betting terminals and four to eight live dealers, it would replace the Infusion bar on the gaming floor and would see 122 slot machines relocated.

Sands President Mark Juliano said: “This is a significant investment for us and we’re very confident that it will succeed. We will not be decreasing our slot or table games count from their current configuration.”

Sands already operates similar stadium set ups at venues in Las Vegas and Macau but live dealer electronic table games are new to the Pennsylvanian gaming sector. Neighboring New Jersey, West Virginia and Ohio allow live dealer electronic table games.

With live dealer electronic table games, gamblers buy in, place bets and are paid out via electronic terminals. Live dealers still deal cards, spin the roulette wheel or operate the sic bo dice shaker.
Sands said the overall expansion would see 50 new employee positions created with 20 to 25 dealers, six service technicians, six supervisors, 15 ambassadors as well as more cocktail waitresses and security.
